IBPS PO V 2015 Prelim Exam Analysis – 3rd October (1st Slot)


IBPS PO 2015 Prelims Exam starts from today, which will be conducted in four slot i.e.9 AM, 11:30 AM, 2 PM and 4:30 PM. First slot of the exam is over now. The pattern of the IBPS PO Prelims was same as SBI PO 2015 Prelims Exam. Overall the level of the 1st Slot of the exam is of Moderate level. In this post we are providing you a detail analysis of the First Slot exam along with expected cutoff.  
Pattern of IBPS PO Prelim Exam:
The Prelim Exam consists of 3 sections which is spread over English Language, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude.  The duration of the exam is one hour which carries 100.

Detail Analysis of each section of – First Slot (3rd October 2015)

1. English Language – Total 30 Questions (Level – Moderate)
(i) Reading Comprehension – 10 Questions (Based on Economics – Lengthy) 
(ii) Cloze Test – 5 Questions (Economics based) 
(iii) Fill in the blanks – 5 Questions
(iv) Spotting Error – 5 Questions
(v) Parajumbles – 5 Questions (tricky type paragraph)
2. Quantitative Aptitude – Total 35 Questions (Level – Moderate to Difficult )
(i) Number Series – 5 Questions
(ii) Approximation – 5 Questions
(iii) Data Interpretation (2 Sets) – 10 Questions (Level – Easy to Moderate) 
Note: One DI on Bar Graph and other one was on Missing Data type DI. 
(iv) Quadratic Equation – 5 Questions
(v) Miscellaneous Questions – 10 Questions
Miscellaneous questions include – Age, Mixture Allegation, Partnership, Profit Loss, Average, Boats & Stream, Compound/Simple Interest, Time & Work, etc.
3. Reasoning Ability – Total 35 Questions – (Level – Moderate) 
(i) Syllogism – 5 Questions (Easy)
Note: Syllogism Questions was of 2 statement and 2 conclusion. Also possibility questions was asked but it was of easy level.
(ii) Inequality – 5 Questions  (Easy)
(iii) Sitting Arrangement (Circular) – 5 Questions   (Blood relation type Qs)
(iv) Linear Arrangement (North South) – 5 Questions (Easy to Moderate)
(v) Puzzle – 5 Questions
(vi)  Coding Decoding – 5 Questions
(vii) Miscellaneous Questions – 5 Questions
Miscellaneous Questions include – (Blood Relations, Ranking, Direction test, etc.)
NoteNo Input Output questions was asked in 1st Slot of the exam.

Expected Cutoff 

The expected cutoff of each section of IBPS PO Prelims Exam 2015 (1st slot) is –
1. English Section – 6.5 – 7
2. Quantitative Aptitude – 6.75 – 7
3. Reasoning Ability – 9 – 10.5
Overall Expected cutoff – The overall expected cutoff of IBPS PO Prelims Exam will be around 38 – 43 for general catx^2+26x-169=0 tell me the x values
sum of money lent out at simple interest amounts to Rs. 720 after 2 years and to Rs. 1020 after a further period of 5 years. Find the sum and the rate %.
